Let the People Ride Campaign
For years, LEAD has been working tirelessly to improve the safety and accessibility of bus stops near local malls. After a lot of pushback from the City of Beavercreek, LEAD successfully won 3 new bus stops in the Fairfield Mall area.
Regional Transit Authority (RTA) and LEAD Victory
On Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 6:00 am, many LEAD members met at the WSU bus stop just to take the first ride into Beavercreek and celebrate. Mark Donaghy, the Executive Director of RTA drove the bus. Also, a young man expecting to walk to his job at Walmart was grateful for the ride.

The Kirwan Institute
The Kirwan Institute's vision for the film Free to Ride is to create a film that engages the most sensitive and controversial issues of our day in a way that sparks each of us to think critically about how our views and perceptions impact others.
The ideals espoused throughout this saga are not unique to the Dayton region— cities across Ohio and the nation face similar challenges and stories like this. As America continues to become more diverse in the years ahead, learning to engage in healthy public dialogue is more critical than ever.
